we met our most recent couple at sunny eureka college. (on lauren’s graduation day no less!)

according to their strict PR rules, you aren’t allowed to speak of the school without mentioning that it is, infact, the alma mater of our 40th president, ronald reagan.

the campus is beautiful outside and in…

and so are they.

say cheese! (both after those last captions and for the upcoming smiles)

nelson and the sun were getting along too well on these next ones. some hott, all natural flares.

everyone was laughing when aaron busted out some stretches to keep the hammies warm.

i can’t say it better than e.e. cummings.

the “photo time” thing was my addition, in case you were wondering.

love is in the air.

love is on the ground.

since martha & stan drove all the way up from missouri to get pictures taken, we decided to take them on a tour/shoot. we went to all our favorite places in the area.

like the beautiful trail near our home.

and the giant boulders next to the cliffs above.

and up to bald knob.

downtown alto pass has some pretty spots too.

we finished among the blossoming peach trees.

this was our first shoot of the season, and we couldn’t have had an easier couple to deal with. stan should teach a class on engagement shoot personality.

step one: tell jokes

step two: encourage the photographers to do kissing shots

step three: repeat

they’re a great couple together.

the day after: dawn + david

“day after” sessions give everyone a break on the wedding day, and give the couple a chance to go wherever they want for more pictures.

dawn ‘n david wisely decided on a golf course. we met the newlyweds, red kicks and all, in perfect weather.

we grabbed this one after we had decided to quit once. good thing too.

the ring picture was dawn’s idea.

there was so much color outside that day, when i was editing i realized i hadn’t done a single black and white. i thought this picture worked out perfectly for it.

perfect backlighting.

captured the moment.

a beautiful couple for a beautiful day! thank you guys so much for wanting the day after session. you guys are so easy to work with, and we loved all the shoots with you.
