more from vermont with maggie + will

rachel August 23rd, 2008

buckle up for a huge post! i couldn’t help it!

tyler and i always think it’s hilarious that while the girls are spending hours beautifying themselves…

the boys get to play around. why is that?

maggie’s “princess dress.”

the classy transportation.

although i’ve heard of this happening, this was the first wedding i’ve been to where the bride has surprised the groom with a song. i know i’m supposed to be the professional here, but i, like every woman in the sanctuary, was choked up during this special moment.

tyler’s favorite picture every time. you can’t beat the feeling of “we’re finally married!”

the bride posed this one herself. maggie, we just might have a job for you!

we’ll be having a caption contest on this one in the future.  tyler said, “big smiles” and this is what came out.

smooch.

will and maggie have so much fun together. these next two are proof. i love it!

the guys.

the girls.

i just had to add one more from our stop on the way to the reception…

which was held at west monitor barn.

my view of the first dance.

tyler’s.

i love their expressions.

a gorgeous wedding cake.

can’t have a reception without the electric slide.

now, not only did we have an amazing time during the wedding festivities. we also had fantastic hosts — joy (bridesmaid extraodinaire!) and nick. they were married about 50 days ago (believe it or not, at the same location), but were so excited to open their new home to us for the weekend. i have never felt so comfortable in a stranger’s house before! : ) after the first few minutes, they really felt like old friends and were so fun to talk to!

they have some pretty good swing dance moves too.

joy and nick: you were such a blessing to us. thanks so much for everything! you can be looking for these two pictures to find their way into your mailbox soon.

maggie and will: you are a wonderful couple, and we wish you the very best in your marriage. thanks again for choosing us to capture all these moments.

junior high sweethearts: maggie + will

rachel August 20th, 2008

on august 8, tyler and i had the opportunity fly to vermont to photograph maggie and will’s wedding day.

although we knew the groom from grove city college, we didn’t meet the bride until the rehearsal.

isn’t she stunning???

will’s not bad either…

oh-so-happily married.

we got the chance to ride with them in their awesome stretch limo on the way to shelburne farms.

maggie had talked about how amazing this place was, and it did not disappoint.

a kiss.

one moment.  two angles.

this one is extra special.  it’s earned the right to be the new cover on our website.

the forecast said thunderstorms.  luckily, the rain held out until the very last picture.  (you can see rain drops if you look closely).

perfect timing, perfect location, and a picture perfect couple.

thanks, maggie and will!
